In class Interview

A retired high school cheerleader, Brittany Dowler, a student at Arkansas State University, she's 21 years old and majoring in Graphic Communications. Dowler works as a child carer at a daycare here in Jonesboro Arkansas. She has a passion for children but she does not have any, she's also interested in crafting things and she likes to draw and paint in her spare time. Dowler has one sister and brother, her being the oldest. She drives to school from Paragould and here week out of school she had plenty of family memebers visiting from mom and dad's side of the family.

Kris Katrosh

Kris Katrosh, director, David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History
Kris Katrosh made a visit to discuss the oral and visual presentation of David and Barbara Pryor Center's history to A-S-U students on October 17, 2011in Student Union Auditorium. Katrosh was born and raised in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He began his career as a musician in 1980, based in Little Rock. Katrosh moved into television and film production as a lighting technician in 1985. He became a lighting director a few years later. His lighting design credits include motion pictures, documentaries, television commercials and large-scale outdoor events. 

He worked as general manager and director of long-form programming, serving the company's clients in the capacity of producer, director, and editor of commissioned film and video products. He produced many  award-winning documentaries, television programs, museum video installations and commercials.

Documentary Festival

The Radio-T-V Department invited A-S-U students to a documentary Festival on September 29, 2011, held in the A-S-U auditorium. Five students made their Arkansas premiere at "A-S-U Doc Fest" with short documentaries that covered diversity topics such as social network addition, the decline of the church in the America and a Nigerian immigrant's rise to prominence in Jonesboro. Also the Multicultural Center hosted a "Meet and Greet" held in the Student Union Suite 3003. False Alarm

Flickering lights, on and off computers and a false fire alarm sent students in a journalism class outdoors in the cold on November 24, 2011.
