Michael Lewellen

            Alumni Michael Lewellen visited ASU Monday and Tuesday in the Communications Building as part of the Joel Gambill Alumni Speaker Series. A native of Jonesboro, holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Arkansas State University, and is an internationally accredited public relations practitioner through the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communications.
            He is noted for his expertise in media strategies, reputation management, sport and entertaining publicity, public affairs, crisis management and brand communications.
            The National Black Public Relations Society honored Lewellen in 2005 with its highest honor, the Founders Award, for his achievements in Public Relations.
            He's a member of the National Association of the Black Journalist, National Black Public Relations Society, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and the United States Professional Tennis Association.
